Enformatic FTIR Collection Manager (FCM)

What is FCM

FCM is an application for measurement automation and CLS analysis intended for research and manufacturing.

Main functions of FCM:

  • Works with spectrometers from Bruker, Otsuka and ThermoNicolet,
  • familiar Windows Explorer-like interface makes it easy to use from the start and a very convenient spectral file and data file browser. Supports Thermo GRAMS SPC, Thermo OMNIC SPA, and Bruker OPUS file formats,
  • CLS (classical least-squares) linear and nonlinear gas analysis with temperature and pressure correction in real-time or post-collection,
  • can be incorporated into other systems as a data-collection and analysis slave,
  • can independently control gas cell and valve switching allowing full automation of data collection and analysis of gases from various souces.

FCM is available in three versions:

  • Stand-alone.
  • Slave.
  • Master.

FCM Stand-alone

Stand-alone is the basic version allowing to:

  • Browse local and network drives using convenient Windows Explorer-like interface to easily view spectral and data files. (Thermo GRAMS SPC, Thermo OMNIC SPA, and Bruker OPUS file formats),
  • easily perform one or a series of measurements,
  • easily perform long-term (24/7/365) monitoring of changes in gas concentrations,
  • create custom CLS (classical least-squares) linear and nonlinear analysis methods based on standard library or your own measured spectra,
  • perform CLS linear and nonlinear gas analysis in real-time or post-collection,
  • perform optional (triggered by custom-defined logic) secondary CLS analysis with different method to identify additional compounds,
  • perform temperature and pressure measurements and apply temperature and pressure corrections to analysis results,
  • define alarm levels for any/each compound with ability to send signals through DIO or FinsGateway to activate audible alarms or external devices.

FCM Slave

Version Slave includes all features of version Stand-alone with the following additional functionality:

  • Ability to incorporate FCM into other systems as a data-collection and analysis slave. For example, PLC can control FCM thru FinsGateway communication,
  • false alarm detection,
  • automatic notifications via e-mails, reporting on system status and alarm conditions.

FCM Master

Version Master includes all features of version Stand-alone with the following additional functionality:

  • Control of gas cell and valve switching through DIO or FinsGateway allowing for full control of automated monitoring of gas concentrations from multiple sources,
  • automated, cyclical background measurements,
  • automated signal verification with signal to noise ratio measurements,
  • automated analysis quality verification with calibration measurements for each gas cell separately.
